Eastern WA waiting

A slide is waiting to happen. Cracks have opened up and are getting bigger.
I-82 is the road most of us use to get to Seattle. About an hour+ from our area.
And there are folks who live below the quarry.
Folks are doing everything they can to prepare. Bless them all.

This bit in the article cracked me up:

"All 67 locals living next to the landslide have evacuated and are staying in hotels. On Monday, Yakima Emergency Management have been looking for temporary homes all of their pets. 120 chickens, 10 dogs, two horses, one duck and two turkeys to be exact."

They should just build an ark for all those animals!

I think there would be nothing more unnerving than living next to a landslide area. It could come down without any sort of notice. :o(

That's a lot of chickens!

Glad that everyone including the animals are safe from the slides.

We've driven through there many times. What a catastrophe that will be if/when it happens.
