Asparagus harvest in SE WA

Our area, full of Cold War nuclear waste, current operating nuclear power and Mad Scientists is surrounded by agriculture.

This is a field of ripening asparagus. Really helps us appreciate the work that goes into this crop.

Never, ever had asparagus until I met the Pfaff family, and it's just one of the many great thing they introduced to me.

In my younger years living back east we had a sizable asparagus patch. It's quite tasty fresh picked.
