Weasel power!!!

Weasel Apparently Shuts Down World's Most Powerful Particle Collider

"A small mammal has sabotaged the world's most powerful scientific instrument.
The Large Hadron Collider, a 17-mile superconducting machine designed to smash protons together at close to the speed of light, went offline last night. Engineers investigating the mishap found the charred remains of a furry creature near a gnawed-through power cable."

She has been spotted several times but always escapes.

The gnomes and NASA

AND they have told me that NASA thinks it is important enough to raise on the Space Station. In fact it is the subject of all sorts of scientific studies

When we were in London, 1982, we took a left hand turn and rode our bikes right past #10. I remember being shocked that we could just do that. Doubt it is as open today.

So. world wide pencil shortage...

"A surge in the number of people buying adult colouring books has threatened pencil stocks world-wide as manufacturers struggle to cope with an increased demand for quality colour pencils."

Does anyone use them?

I do my own illustrations for my nieces/nephews books and use water color pencil. Good thing I just ordered a new batch!

Asparagus harvest in SE WA

Our area, full of Cold War nuclear waste, current operating nuclear power and Mad Scientists is surrounded by agriculture.

This is a field of ripening asparagus. Really helps us appreciate the work that goes into this crop.
