the farm on the 4th

Waaay up in the rolling Palouse hills of eastern WA (actually about a quarter mile into Idaho) is the famly farm. Wheat and lentils. The fields are now tilled by BIL's brothers and cousins. BIL grandfather immigrated from Russia and started the, now third and fourth generation, family farm.
Have always felt blessed to for my kids to have this wonderful experience. Eldest worked harvest. (Youngest too allergic for harvest.) Nothing like tending a combine at midnight or five in the morning.
We took Eldest and DIL(to be) up yesterday. Daughter and her bff came with us and Youngest met us for the day (his gang had come over from Seattle).
A good time was had by all.
