Back and more wildfire fun (not really) and good results

I-90 is the way to get across WA and very beautiful once you get in the mountains. Because of a wildfire that is attempting to eat a couple towns (they have evaced) the smoke was pretty thick
and the wind was not helping. A pileup happened and closed I-90. Almost unthinkable due to traffic on this route.
We do not go this way. We drop down into Yakima instead. And that was really smoky too but also at 10pm so the traffic wasn't too thick.

Youngest had sinus surgery in Portland and we drove him back to Seattle where he is interning for the summer. We managed to have some nice meals out and got a lot of reading done during the nine hours we were in the waiting room.

Here is Youngest and Daughter when we had breakfast on the river walk in Portland. Youngest doing well and gets a three day weekend to recover.

Good news about Youngest, and the fires, but the stay in Portland?
