How to turn a blue state red

Washington is a blue state on all those political maps.
Red, on this map, means high danger of avalanche. Grey means no data. I have two kids going over to Seattle this week. We won't even talk about volcano zones.

I remember the first time I visited the Pacific NW I thought it was so fascinating that there was a section in the phone book about what to do in case of an earthquake as well as what to do in case of a volcanic eruption. Coming from Colorado and being a kid, I thought this was so cool! I later moved there & experienced both. Not so cool.
