Tar and Abby

Predicted to be a hard winter so I hung a basket in the pine tree where The Squirrel lives and occasionally put some nuts in there. Walnuts, almonds, pecans in their shells.

Abby is horrified.
A well fed squirrel is hard to catch.
Not that she has ever caught one but a doggy can hope.

You have some 'splaining to do!

Abby - a well fed squirrel is a SLOW squirrel! They are too fat to climb fast, too fat to sit on the branches and can fall out of the tree, and their extra weight can cause the branch they are sitting on to break! This may work to your advantage!

but on the bright side, it's a lovely basket!

Ha!!! =D Some day I really should show you the pine trees where the squirrels live at our house... just above the dog yard... they taunt.... ;)

Then, one fateful day, a feral cat adopted us. I haven't seen a squirrel in donkey's years. =/

When I first saw this I was going to ask if a hot air balloon landed in your yard. I feed my squirrels all the time, my neighbors are not happy.
