Abby and her tail - again

New Year's Eve - and we're off to the ER vet as our vet is closed until Wednesday. Abby was acting the same way she did the last time she cracked her tail. Took an xray and she has just wrenched it this time. She is on drugs. She is very mellow. Vet detailed all the reasons that this happens and one of them is she was wagging her tail too much! With the boys home, some good friends dropping by, Eldest girlfriend staying here - that's a lot of loves to dispense. Thus we begin-th 2013. :-)

She looks so thrilled. I sure hope this doesn't set the tone? Happy New Year to all!

We're always afraid that Katie will get into this situation one day(greyhounds are prone to this problem). When she is happy, which is often, she wags her tail furiously and doesn't pay attention to what she is hitting. Oh well, I guess it is good they are happy!

Strangely enough, a friend of mine said her cat was having trouble walking. She took him to the vet--diagnosis was a broken tail. I had never heard of such a thing before. Who would have thought tails could be so problematic!? Hope everything settles down soon! Happy New Year!
