omg! Tim Gunn Barbies!

Tim Gunn has introduced a line of Barbies!!

Barbies have a checkered past around here.
There was the Barbies in Bondage period - Barbie wrapped in rubber bands, hanging from a chair awaiting rescue by Ken.
The Barbies in Space incident - The neighborhood tribe launched Barbie into space attached to a rocket - really hard on the hair.
Finally Barbie ended her time as a resident in the Haunted Dollhouse we built - in several pieces but with her trademark smile firmly held on her decapitated head.

More pictures and info here.

Did Barbie's legs get thinner? Malibu Barbie was a shapely beach chick, but I don't remember her having stick-legs.

I'm found you via Rosemary Beck's Content in a Cottage. I am green, green, green with envy that you have not just one but two beautiful black labs. There are no finer dogs and I would give my eye teeth to have one. A story too long to tell you why I can't but I'll be back to enjoy your Abby and Tar each day.

We loves our labbies. And they have two labby aunts who watch over them and roll their eyes from time to time over their antics. :-)

I always felt my black lab was saying things like, "Are you o.k.?" "Is there anything I can do to help?" Would you like me to go with you?" Her gentle face and caring eyes spoke volumes. I still miss her and it has been several years.

Rosie was black, the lady and eldest. (They were half sisters) Heidi was the good time party girl and a yellow lab.

Tar and Abby are full siblings from the same litter. Tar weighs 115 lbs and a loveable duffus. Abby weighs 65 lbs, is petite all over and bent on world domination - starting with her bigger brother.

Brother and sister...How cool is that? How old are they?
I'm glad you're their "mom" because I can tell they are well-loved and cared for.

My sweet Misty May was 67 lbs. Rescued from the pound and seemed to appreciate the fact.

Abby and Tar just turned two years old on the 23rd. I am assured that the puppy stage is not over yet.

115 lbs.? Jeez Louise..that's TWO dogs! A gentle soul who "doesn't mean to knock things over".

I'll be visiting you each day, your site already bookmarked. ;-)

I love the lab interchange :)
Back to Barbie:
I think my fav is your Haunted Dollhouse. Isn't it great that Barbie keeps smiling, in spite of her being parted from her bizarre dimensions?
I have fond memories of my sons hijacking their sister's Barbie dollhouse. They used it to play with their G.I. Joes (it was in a war zone). We called it Barbie's Brothel.

How did we miss Barbie's Brothel? If Ken only knew...
