Top Chef - off to Vancouver

My hometown. Where we lived we overlooked downtown Vancouver, at the bottom of Grouse Mountain.

On to Whistler Mt. --
They really stretched the limits of what could be a challenge. Who knew brute strength, athletic skills and marksmanship had much to do with cooking?

Also thinking that giving the cheftestants a gun was a risky thing to do for the producers' safety.

Giving Sarah a gun with Bev nearby was a huuuuge risk.

What do guns have to do with a cooking contest?

The challenges
- cook in a gondola (two got nausea)
- break ingredients frozen in blocks of ice
- do a mini race - cross country skiing (much falling) and shoot at targets with ingredients. If you shot the target you got to use the ingredient - 10 bullets.

(If you took a shot at TomC you got a bonus ingredient...)
.... okay joking about that...
