Tar is in the running...for most spoiled dog

We were wondering if he could handle wood floors through out the house. Recently he has
been getting stuck. He can't make the trip from the door to the bed, even with small throw rugs and he will get stuck half way down the hallway. We worried about his hips and had them xrayed - fine. He is just so big and ungainly. Saturday we went out and ordered $450 worth of carpet to be made into runners (add $350 to cut up and bind carpet). He will have two runners in the hallway and one that goes from the bedroom door to the bed.
Yes, we are total idiots about our dogs.
Right now he is whining because Abby is up on the bed AND she has his chew bone.
Maybe he needs shoes?

We'd do the same for our pets....except I carry Tuxedo from room-to-room.

Too much?

Maybe he needs a short bus.

Awww, look at that face! I'm sorry he's skittish about the floors and would do what I could to help, too.

Tar is probably thinking he'd better clean up his act around there.

He's just so darn handsome!

Oh gee, I do believe that Tar has us all figured out and this is a ploy. I think maybe you should just start you weight training right now. Goal? 110 lbs. and I think you are out of luck finding a baby sling that will hold that much weight.
He is such a handsome fella!!!

Yes...shoes. And maybe flip-flops for the summer? We, too, have runners strewn about for our slip-slidin' canine :) Helps a little.

Froggy, we've done that with Nick. The flat slick surfaces freak him out. He had a hard enough life before us, so I don't care if he is pampered now.
