we have a new boat!

The newest ferry in the WA state fleet is named after the town next to us (the town that has The Mall). There are 22 ferries in the system. The name, above - means Heavenly Winter in the language of the Native Americans who used to spend their winters next to our three big rivers. I've spent a lot of time on these ferries over the years.

I like the name, and the meaning. Very pretty.

Impressive! I like the story behind the name, too.

So are all those ferries located up on the NW? Do they have one on the Columbia? I've taken the truck full of product on a very very small ferry across Lake Champlain in Vermont. I remember pulling up to the dock and thinking we wouldn't fit.
We did and it was epic. Wish i had taken pictures of it.

Huge semis pull onto the ferries all the time but many of these ferries are huge! The ferries go from Seattle and up to Anacortes to across Puget Sound, to all the islands and over the top to Port Townsend. They also head to Victoria, BC.
