Abby approves of this tattoo.spoilers...
We watched Ink Master on Spike TV - the tattoo reality show. Dave Navarro is the host and he has two industry heavyweights as his co-judges.
They had a quickfire! They tattooed a design on pigs.
The main challenge was to do a cover up tattoo on a tattoo that went wrong, was damaged or faded. They had time to plan and sketch with the client. The clients are real people who they call 'canvases' (roll eyes). The next day they had six hours to finish the tattoos. People like to be on TV so I guess the risk of a botched tattoo is worth it.
I have no experience with tattoos other than to admire whatever Tribe Members show up sporting. I was amazed at the amount of work they were able to get done. One artist had his client walk out on him due to the pain. The judges seemed to think the artist should have found a better position for the client but she may have not been able to handle that either.
There are two women in the mix. Everyone has lots of tattoos. They did the previews and they had the obligatory shot of an EMT with a blood pressure cuff on someone.

Dave Navarro was on Howard Stern's radio show today (yes I listen to him) and he talked about the show.
I'm not a fan of ink, period. Bill has begged me to get a tattoo to no avail. I aint never!! But Bill, jeesh he has bought a tattoo artist a house with all the artwork he has invested in.
Years ago, while getting my first tattoo [around my ankle] I was talking with the female tattoo artist while she inked me.
I was shocked that she didn't have any tats on her arms and wondered why she'd chosen this profession.
Then I noticed, peeking out just above the collar of her blouse, a few tattooed leaves and flowers. I thought, "Hmmm, pretty."
As I repositioned myself so she could continue working, I was looking at her feet, and noticed that, peeking out just below the cuff of her jeans were the exact same leaves and flowers.
Top to bottom, full body tattoo, I'm guessing.
They tattooed pigs??
The 'quickfire' was on a pig, in a meat locker. Mythbusters likes to use them (deceased) as human analogs. They each had to do a skull in the manner of their art. The ones the did on the humans had to be approved by the person. Probably didn't think the could find 12 people who wanted a random skull that wasn't their choice.
For a chance to be on tv, they could find a ton of idiots to do a lot worse.
This is true. The poor piggies had no choice.
