Our hero is a newspaper reporter in New Jersey. My favorite kind of dogged protagonist written with humor and interest -meaning I learn new things from the books. Two in the series and I hope many more. Author is a former newspaper reporter. Really enjoyed these books.

Someone suggested tshirts instead of the cones of shame (which are painful after they bump into you time after time after time). They work pretty well. You have to gather up their 'skirts' with a rubber band when they go outside. Abby's shirt says 'Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally' - extra points to the first one to know this phrase.

Abby is back in and having surgery again - another spot opened up - where they didn't think they'd have to remove the non-dissolving dissolving stitches. Maybe they don't understand Demon Power.

I've never seen Two and a Half Men. Had a vague idea it was about two men and a boy. Now that CharlieS. has gone into low Earth orbit I wondered about the boy. Would you want your child around this man? When they canceled the rest of the season I thought, for everyone's safety, it was a good thing, especially the child actor. You don't want him thinking CharlieS's behavior is, in any way, glamorous.
Hopefully this will protect the rather large investment we made in these two trees. Puppies, so far, can not dislodge the big stones and digging in the sand is no biggy. They need better hobbies.
No sooner than we got the stone around the trees and the sand neatly placed than the puppies managed to dig four holes like the one above. Never saw them do it.
Behind the puppies are the two trees we planted a couple months ago. The puppies love to dig around in that area. The poles and the trees are at risk! For just $250 we now have a bunch of sand and flat rocks to put around the trees. We have a handy dandy 21-yr-old for labor. We have health insurance for The Engineer! We can do this!
