One of the hazards of Dry Side living

Washington isn't all rain and evergreens. Lots of sagebrush and agriculture around here. The dry winter fields make for loverly dust storms. Roads are regularly shut down. I remember not being able to see my neighbor's house across the street. More wind forecast today...!

After living through hurricanes in Miami, I now realize, that out of all weather phenomena, it's the wind I find the most scary, if only because, many times, you can't see it.

Loverly, I spent some childhood years in the dustbowl belt. The panhandle of Texas. Don't. Miss. This. At. Alll.
