How long will take Richard to show up with this?

This little edible space shuttle was made by a 3-D printer using pureed food instead of ink. The bitty shuttle is made out of pureed scallops and cheese.

I've seen the news of the 3-D for food items.....I just don't get the need. They can invent these stupid printers but they can't make and market an affordable and reliable self cleaning toilet?

Aren't these scientists and culinary professionals a few decades behind the times? Is this not the essence of the McDonald's chicken nugget?
